Looking for a freebitco.in alternative?
For years, millions of people rolled for free bitcoin every hour. If that was your daily ritual, this page explains what happened and what you can do now.
FreeBTC is an independent project and is not affiliated with freebitco.in.
What happened to freebitco.in?
Freebitco.in was one of the oldest Bitcoin faucets: a free roll every hour, plus lottery tickets, interest on balances and dice games. According to public reports and user communities, withdrawals started to be delayed in 2025, and in December 2025 the site announced it was shutting down, blaming widespread bot and script abuse. It had also faced regulatory action in Europe related to its gambling products.
We cannot confirm the status of anyone’s balance there. If you had funds on the site, follow only its official channels and be careful with “recovery” offers: they are a common scam.
Why classic faucets keep failing
A faucet pays everyone the same tiny amount for clicking a button. Bots can click far more than people, so they drain the budget, rewards shrink to one or two satoshis and withdrawal minimums climb out of reach. Gambling features added later bring regulatory problems.
How FreeBTC is different
- The rhythm is the real Bitcoin blockchain: a free round with every block, about every ten minutes.
- You make a call — which pool mines it, fast or slow, fees up or not — and the chain scores you. Skill beats bots.
- Prizes come from public pools funded by a fixed share of revenue, and they never pay more than they hold.
- No deposits, no gambling, no betting your balance.
- Minimum withdrawal: 50,000 sats to your own Bitcoin address.
Rolling every hour vs playing every block
If you liked coming back every hour, you will find the same habit here, only with a reason to think: every block is a new question, every day has a shared challenge, and a season lasts two weeks. The difference is that your result depends on how well you read Bitcoin, not on a random number.
Is freebitco.in still paying?
We cannot verify it. Reports since 2025 describe delayed or blocked withdrawals and an announced shutdown. Check the site’s official channels only.
