Terms of use

FreeBTC (freebtc.app) is a service operated by Investments & Solutions B.V., a company registered in Curaçao under registration no. 156206 (Registro Mercantil de la Cámara de Comercio e Industria de Curaçao), with its registered office at Fransche Bloemweg 4, Willemstad, Curaçao (email: freebtc.app@gmail.com; gaming licence: application in progress).

By creating an account or using the service with it, you accept these Terms of use and the Weekly rankings rules. How we process your data is explained in the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

FreeBTC is a free game about Bitcoin. You receive free chips and play them in:

• provably fair instant games (“Mine Your Block”, “Halving Crash”, “Mempool Plinko” and “Hash Bingo”), whose results you can check with the seed system described in Provably fair; and
• games resolved by public data (“Next Block”, “Hash Roulette” and “Price Hi-Lo”), resolved with Bitcoin network data from mempool.space or with the 1-minute BTC-USD candles published by Coinbase.

There are also free skill games (daily puzzles, the Heartbeat, the Block of the Day and block predictions) that award chips. Every week, the best players in four rankings receive real prizes in satoshis (“sats”), under the Rules.

You can also earn sats by completing offers and surveys from partner companies, through the invitation programme and in the prize pots of other games.

• You must be 18 or over (or the age of majority in your country, if higher) and have legal capacity to contract.
• Only one account per person is allowed. Your account is personal and non-transferable.
• You need a Google account to sign in. You are responsible for keeping it secure.
• You are responsible for checking that using FreeBTC and receiving prizes is allowed in your country. You may not use the service where the law that applies to you prohibits or restricts it for you. We may limit or block access from certain countries or territories.

When you create your account we give you an automatic nickname, which you can change. Your nickname is public. It may not be offensive, impersonate another person or brand, contain other people’s personal data or include advertising. We may change a nickname that breaks these rules. The same applies to block dedication names and messages.

You receive 10,000 chips the first time you sign in and can claim 1,000 more every hour. Skill games can also give you chips.

• Chips have no monetary value and are not money, balance or an asset you own.
• They cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, sats or any other goods or services.
• Paying for any FreeBTC product never gives chips or any advantage in the game or the rankings.
• When you play you can win or lose chips. Losing chips never costs you money.

We may adjust the amounts of free chips in the future, announcing it on the site. If a data source fails or a result is manifestly wrong because of a technical fault, we may void the affected round and return the chips played. We may correct chip balances obtained through errors or prohibited conduct.

Your FreeBTC balance shows the sats we have credited to you: prizes from the rankings and other pots, your share of partner earnings once matured, and what you earn from invitations.

• The balance is not a bank account or a deposit, earns no interest and is not covered by any guarantee scheme.
• Deposits are not accepted: your balance only grows with what you earn on FreeBTC.
• You can use it to withdraw (section 9) or to pay for FreeBTC products (section 10).
• The value of a sat in euros or dollars changes with the price of Bitcoin. We are not liable for those changes.

On the Earn page you can open the offer and survey walls of our partners (currently Offerwall.me, CPX Research, TheoremReach and Wannads). When you complete something, the partner tells us and pays us. We credit you between 50% and 65% of what the partner pays us, according to your rate (“hashrate”) at that moment, calculated as explained on the Earn page.

• What you earn matures for 30 days (longer for some partners, as shown on the Earn page) before it reaches your available balance.
• The partner decides whether an offer or survey was completed correctly. If it reverses a payment, we reverse it too: if it was maturing, it is cancelled; if it was already in your balance, it is deducted, and any part your balance does not cover is offset against your next earnings.
• By using a partner’s service you accept its terms and privacy policy. If you have a problem with an offer, write to us and we will pass it on to the partner.

If you invite friends with your link, you receive a share of what they earn with partners (10% to 15%, depending on the number of active friends, as shown on the Invite page). FreeBTC pays that share: nothing is taken from your friends. You may not invite yourself or create accounts to collect invitations.

• You can withdraw once your available balance reaches 50,000 sats.
• Withdrawals are sent to the Bitcoin address or Lightning address you give us. Check it carefully: Bitcoin network transactions are irreversible and we are not liable for payments to a wrong address you provided.
• Every withdrawal goes through a fraud review, automatic or manual. While it lasts, the withdrawal may take longer. We may ask you for reasonable additional information to complete it.

Paid products are optional and never give chips, better odds or any advantage in the rankings:

• Sponsor a block. You dedicate a block with a name and a message that are published. 50% of the price becomes that block’s prize.
• Season pass. Includes cosmetic items and +5 points on your rate for partner offers during the season.

The price is shown before you pay. You can pay with your balance or, when available, over Lightning (BTCPay Server). The product is activated immediately: by paying, you expressly request immediate activation and acknowledge that, once activated, you lose the right of withdrawal, to the extent applicable law allows (for consumers in the EU, under article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU).

You may not:

• use bots, scripts, emulators or any automation to play, claim chips or complete offers;
• have more than one account, use other people’s accounts or share yours;
• use VPNs, proxies or other means to hide your location or identity in order to get around limits, fraud controls or territorial restrictions;
• exploit bugs or vulnerabilities in the service (if you find one, please tell us);
• collude with other players to manipulate results or rankings;
• give false or inconsistent answers in surveys, or commit any other kind of fraud against partners;
• attack, overload or attempt unauthorised access to our systems;
• publish unlawful or offensive content, or content that infringes third-party rights.

If we see signs of prohibited conduct, we may place the account under review. During the review we hold that account’s pending earnings, prizes and withdrawals. A person reviews every case and you can explain yourself by writing to freebtc.app@gmail.com.

If we confirm a breach, we may, in proportion to its seriousness, cancel chips, earnings and prizes obtained improperly, reclaim amounts paid improperly, and suspend or close the account. We will tell you the decision and the reasons for it.

If we close your account without you having breached these terms, you may withdraw your available balance even if it is below the withdrawal minimum.

You can close your account at any time by writing to us. Before that, we recommend withdrawing your balance if it reaches the minimum.

We may improve, change or withdraw games and features. We do not guarantee the service will be available without interruption. If we decide to stop providing the service altogether, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and you will be able to withdraw your available balance.

We are liable for damage we cause you by breaching these terms, as provided by law. We are not liable for damage caused by third parties (such as Google, partners or the Bitcoin network), by causes we cannot reasonably control, or by use of the service contrary to these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you.

FreeBTC does not provide financial, tax or investment advice. You are responsible for declaring what you earn, where applicable, under the tax rules of your country.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use FreeBTC for personal, non-commercial purposes. All rights in the site, the software and the brand remain ours or our licensors’.

We may change these terms for legal, technical or service reasons. If the change is significant, we will give you at least 15 days’ notice on the site or by email. If you do not agree, you can close your account before it applies; if you keep using the service afterwards, we will take it that you accept the new version. Changes to the Rankings rules apply as set out in those rules.

These terms are governed by the laws of Curaçao. Disputes are submitted to the courts of Curaçao.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law and courts does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, where the law so requires, or, where applicable, of your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.

Before going to court, we encourage you to write to us so we can try to solve the problem. If you are a consumer, you can also contact the consumer protection bodies in your country.
