How to play
- Ten multiple-choice questions, four options each. Tap “Next question” to reveal each one.
- You have 15 seconds per question, counted by our server from the moment it appears. If time runs out, the question counts as wrong.
- After each answer you see the correct option and a short explanation.
- Your score is the number of correct answers (0–10). Ties are broken by total answer time: faster wins.
- Season points: 9–10 correct = 3 points, 7–8 = 2 points, 5–6 = 1 point. A perfect 10/10 also earns the Satoshi Quiz perfect badge.
- One attempt per day. The questions are the same for everyone and change at 00:00 UTC.
About this game
Every day the Satoshi Quiz asks the same ten questions to everyone: from the genesis block and the halving schedule to Lightning channels, mining and keeping your keys safe. Four easy, four medium and two hard ones, spread across seven topics.
You have fifteen seconds per question. Right or wrong, each answer comes with a one-line explanation, so even a bad day teaches you something about Bitcoin.
Is the Satoshi Quiz free?
Yes. Like every FreeBTC game it costs nothing to play and you never stake anything. Good results add season points, and season leaders share sats from pots funded by the site’s ad revenue.
Are the questions the same in English and Spanish?
Yes. Everyone gets the same ten questions each day, written in both languages, so the leaderboard is fair whichever language you play in.
What happens if my connection drops mid-question?
The clock keeps running on the server. When you come back, a question whose 15 seconds have passed counts as a timeout and you carry on with the next one.
Where do the questions come from?
From a bank of 200 original questions about Bitcoin’s history, protocol, mining, economics, Lightning, culture and security. We only use facts that do not change, never live prices.
