You play with chips: they are free (more every hour), you can lose them, and they are never bought, sold or swapped for sats. The weekly rankings pay real sats into your wallet. See the weekly rankings →

The transactions and median fee markets are temporarily unavailable while we re-price them. Payout moves every second: the longer the wait, the likelier “over”. A play counts only if made at least 30 s before our last check that the block hadn’t been found yet; later plays are refunded.

How to play

  • You play with chips, not money. Chips are free: 10,000 when you join and more every hour. You can lose them all, and they are never bought, sold or swapped for sats.
  • The round is the block being mined right now. Pick a market and a side, choose your chips and play.
  • Transactions and median fee: temporarily unavailable while we re-price them.
  • Block time: more or less than 10:00 between this block’s timestamp and the previous one. Mining has no memory, so the payout moves every second with the time already elapsed; you lock the payout you see. It closes when one side is over 85 % likely.
  • Mining pool: the pool that mines the block. Each pool pays 0.97 ÷ its share of the last 7 days (a pool with 25 % pays ×3.88). Small or unknown pools count as “Other”.
  • You can make several plays per round: one per market.
  • Resolved when the block’s final data is in. If the data is missing, the round is void and every play gets its chips back.
  • A play counts only if it was made at least 30 seconds before our last check that the block hadn’t been found yet; later plays are refunded, so nobody can play once the result is out. If our connection to the network falls behind, plays pause until it catches up.
  • If the network replaces a block (a chain reorganisation) before its round is settled, the round is void and every play gets its chips back.
  • Every week the rankings pay real sats into the winners’ wallets. Each correct call here counts for “Most correct block calls”, besides chips won and chips played. Paying never gives you chips.

About this game

Every ten minutes or so a miner somewhere finds the next Bitcoin block. Will it take more than ten minutes? Which pool will find it?

Block-time payouts follow the real odds second by second, and pool payouts follow each pool’s share of the last week. Every result is public: open the block on mempool.space and check it yourself.

Why does the block-time payout change?

Blocks arrive at random. If seven minutes have passed, “more than ten” is much likelier than it was at the start, so it pays less. The payout always reflects the real chance at that second.

Where do the results come from?

From the block itself: its timestamp and pool, as published by mempool.space. Every resolved round links to its block.

Can I buy chips or cash them out?

No. Chips are free play tokens with no money value: they can’t be bought, sold or exchanged for sats. The only sats in the game come from the weekly rankings, paid from the prize pot.

How do the weekly rankings work?

Each week (Monday to Sunday, UTC) your plays count towards several rankings: most chips won, most chips played, most correct block calls and biggest single win. The top places share real sats from the weekly pot.
